A KIOSK YOU CAN’T MISS

One of our favourite kiosks that teenagers love is: “Il Vecchio Chiosco Da Roberto“. It is located in a very strategic position- in fact, it is in the city centre of Milazzo in Piazza San Papino, with seats both outdoors and indoors; all this makes an unbeatable atmosphere.

The food is magnificent! There is a wide variety of choice between appetizing sandwiches and wraps. It also has many quality desserts and ice creams. You should try them all! Our favourite sandwich is Vikingo, which has hotdogs, ketchup, mayonnaise, and a spicy sauce inside.

Roberto is super friendly, nice and helpful. Even if he doesn’t have any staff, he manages to do everything and keep the kiosk clean.

All this quality and this magnificent service at a reasonable price and accessible to all.

The only negative thing which I can say is ….

Actually “Il vecchio Chiosco da Roberto” has no faults, and is truly unbeatable, without a doubt it is the best Kiosk in Milazzo. I promise you won’t regret it, if you try it!!!

IL GIRO D’ITALIA

Marina Garibaldi

Giro D’Italia in Milazzo

This year a stage of the Giro d’Italia was in our small town, Milazzo. In fact, for this occasion many people were unable to go to work or school due to the race, which blocked all roads. Together with our friends, as we were interested in this event, went to Marina Garibaldi, to see the departure of the cyclists. We had a lot of fun and cheered for Lorenzo Fortunato. Arnaud Demare won the 5th stage, the Catania-Messina (178 kilometres), while the Austrian Jai Hindley won the pink Jersey in the final stage in Verona on the 29th of May.

The atmosphere in the streets of Milazzo was magnificent. People were very excited. Many were foreigners, mostly Germans and French. And there were some famous people too. After this event, cycling became one of our favorite sports.

The History of the Giro D’Italia

The birth of the “Giro d’Italia” was made official on 24 August 1908, with the promise of 25,000 lire as a prize to the winner and the desire to organize “one of the most coveted and important events in international cycling”.

The main purpose of every runner in the Giro d’Italia is to complete the entire route in the shortest time possible. The competition, in fact, draws up a timed ranking for all participants and the ranking is determined on the basis of the race times recorded by each cyclist, whoever has the shortest time will win.

Giovanni Falcone is an Italian magistrate of Sicilian origin, who was born in Palermo on May 18, 1939 and died on May 23, 1992 in Palermo due to a plot organized by the mafia.
